My older brother, Caleb, came down on Thursday to help us celebrate Jaden’s Birthday. Jaden was super excited, because Caleb is one of Jaden’s favorite peeps (it’s so sweet)! 🙂
We had chicken and cheese quesadillas for supper, with chips and salsa. Mmm… 🙂
My gift to Jaden— Rittersport (German) chocolate. He loves chocolate! 🙂
Mom reads a letter to Jaden about his birth, etc. 🙂
Jaden’s cute ice-cream cake– Phoebe, Jaden and I made it. 🙂
Let’s blow out the candles!
The cake had a graham cracker “crust” with layers of blackberry and vanilla ice-cream. Mmm….
Wonder where the other half is? 😉
Caleb spent Thursday night with us. Lastnight, he graciously took Abby, Phoebe, Jaden and I to a Christmas Orchestral Concert that my best friend invited us to. 🙂
The orchestra played several movements by Corelli, as well as several Christmas carols, Pachelbel’s “Canon for Strings”, and William Selby’s “English Fugue”. It was lovely!! =)
Playing the double bass is my best friend’s brother, Jonathan. My best friend’s other brother, Benjamin, is playing violin.
The blonde young lady in the foreground is Kathleen B. (my best friend), playing violin. 🙂
Rebekah B. and Mr. B. (Kathleen’s sister and Dad). Rebekah is playing viola, and Mr. B. and playing cello. 🙂
Mirren M., Clare J., and Elisabeth B. (Elisabeth is Kathleen’s younger sister– she’s playing violin).
After the concert, there were refreshments and of course there was visiting too. 😉 My family was one of the last to leave, mainly because the last time we saw the B. family was about 6 months ago and we had a lot to catch up on. 🙂
Phoebe, yours-truly, Kathleen B. and Rebekah B. 🙂
An interesting angle
Rebekah makes an interesting observation
With my best friend, Kathleen. Love you, dear! ❤
If only my eyes weren’t closed…. 😛
Phoebe says something profound
Two of the sweetest sisters I know (besides my sisters *wink*).
We had an absolutely fantastic time! 🙂 Hopefully we can make it to their spring concert. 😉
Today is my (not so) little brother, Jaden’s 10th Birthday! We’re not celebrating it until my brother Caleb can be with us either tomorrow or Friday. But I’m posting one photo (for each year of Jaden’s life), as well as some photos I took of him today. 🙂 Welcome to double digits, bub! 🙂
I am linking up to a photo contest over
here. The theme is “portraits”, and the rules allow you to enter two photos. These are my two photos:
All clothing is via Pinterest, unless other wise stated. 🙂
Love the polka dots with the pink background and the white pipped trim. Mmm… Mustard and navy. Chambray!!!!!!!! I absolutely adore this dress! The pattern is stunning yet modern and the colors and fabulous! The cardi is kinda cute. Lovely, yet modest lace dress. The belt adds a nice touch to it, I think. 🙂 I really like the dress, and the cardigan is nice too. 🙂 Lovely mint (polka dots too) dress!! This tunic/dress would be lovely with some gray or black tights/leggings underneath. 🙂 Once again, I really like the color combo of yellow and gray. 🙂 And the argyle pattern of the cardigan, the dress, and gold belt…
I really like the color combo and the plaid pattern. 🙂 Lovely!
This is adorable, especially if combined with a yellow cardigan (see below in my “outerwear” section). This would look stunning with the ruffly purple cardigan that’s below in the “outerwear” section. 🙂
This looks kinda Christmas-y Love argyle!! Especially in these colors. 🙂 So soft and fluttery. I like the detailing of the sleeves and neck. I think this is my favorite of the “casual” tops!! It is simply adorable!
Plaid skirt = a must have. So why don’t I have one? 😉 I love the colors of this one! Gorgeous color combo, and love the chevron patterned skirt. 🙂 I like the skirt a lot– the cardigan is gorgeous though! Beautiful color for a skirt…. This is adorable!! ❤ Love the buttons on the pockets, and the cut of the skirt is cute. This is so very elegant and lady like, in a soft mint and ruffles. 🙂 I like everything about this outfit!! Cute blouse, and lovely colored skirt
So soft and feminine Lovely open-front oatmeal brown cardigan Cable knit open-front cardigan in sunshiney yellow. This is fit for a princess. 😉 Lovely shade of purple (eggplant?) and darling chiffon ruffles! Black polka dots against a dark blue background. Front closure. This is a gorgeous blazer! This looks so warm and comfy. 🙂 I like the print, and it looks cozy. 🙂
This is adorable– mustard “Mary Jane” shoes with charcoal gray stockings! I really like the colors and the plaid pattern (or is that argyle?). The shoes mainly, but I also like her top. 🙂
