Remember how, back in May, my family and I went up Oklahoma for Dad to preach a trial sermon at a prospective church? Well, this past month, we had the opportunity to do so again. The former pastor and his wife were out-of-town that weekend, and so graciously let us stay at their beautiful home. 🙂
After the service (for which Dad preached), a couple (Mr. and Mrs. H.) from the church invited us over to their home. It was fun– Mom and Dad talked with Mr. and Mrs. H., and the youngsters played Billiards, Foosball, and I even got to play on their 40-plus-year-old piano. 🙂
The next Sunday, we got a phone call from one of the elders at the church in OK. They said…..
…. My Dad is hired!!!!! Praise the LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =) We are so excited to see what new adventures might be on this new path. 🙂 So, since we had (at that time) approximately a month to move (we now have only 2 weeks), we went up to OK on Independence Day to look at houses. Well, it turns out we only looked at one house, actually. That’s because we really loved that house, and it seemed a perfect fit for our family. So much so, that very day my parents signed the lease for that house. 🙂 If you want to see more photos of the house (inside pics), go to our family blog. 🙂
My Mom wrote more about this exciting time, here and here. 🙂 We are so very thankful!!!
The next day (Monday the 5th), my siblings and I played Ultimate Frisbee with a bunch of friends. Since it was one of our last nights to play w/ our peeps (before we move), * sniff sniff *, we took a couple group photos. Unfortunately, we were only unable to capture about a 2/3 of those who came– they were in the middle of playing a game. But at least we got some of the folksies. 😉
I totally forgot to post behind the scenes photos from Caleb and Claudia’s engagement shoot. Sorry! 😛 I have been extremely busy lately, and blogging is on the to-do list, just not at the top.
Maddie is: sweet, sarcastic, skilled, a sister, sometimes silly. I’ve been privileged to know her for going on 4 years, I believe. She plays violin in her school orchestra; sings in a choir; and recently started modeling for a Christian organization. In her spare time, she shops, sips Starbucks drinks, and she acts as Caleb and Claudia’s third-wheel. 🙂 Oh, and guess what?! Maddie’s birthday is tomorrow! Please wish her a happy day down in the comments. 🙂
A couple of weeks ago, my sister Phoebe and I got to shoot our first ever engagement photo session for our brother (Caleb) and his fiancee (Claudia). It was an exciting experience, and I had been planning it for weeks. 🙂 Our shooting locations were a local historic downtown, as well as a large park nearby. Now, without further adieu, here are the photos– I’m posting them in two sections (the first will be ones I took, and the second– ones Phoebe took).
